Lars entered the military after his time in school. He completed nine months of military basic service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment in the Danish army. He was not convinced that the military service was right for him, so he decided to search for something else and eventually decided to go into biology. Anette, who had been employed by the military for one year, returned home from a juggler's class to show Lars how she was able to juggle in just three days. Lars was delighted and wanted to try it. He dropped out of the college to enroll in juggling school. He learned fire breathing and the art of juggling in this school. Afterwards he toured with two fellow artists throughout Europe and performed on the streets of cities like Paris, Munich, Moscow and Warsaw. He came across a children's circus after a few years and began to learn street theatre and children's theater as well as pantomime.
