Anne W. Burrell has been a chef, television personality in the United States and a teacher at Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best eateries within New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy and competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for cooking and eating in her early years. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied to earn an English diploma and Communications certificate in Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic adventure. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one time in Italy taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she was able to fully comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that has had a profound impact from a culinary perspective. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of children's diabetes. In her capacity as a speaker, she makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for cuisine and to promote her professional career as a chef.
