Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who currently is a competitor in the UFC flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC Fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai boxer. Her debut was in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko took home a second medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold in the year 2011, and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia started her professional career in 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016, and also the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's final fight took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was able to win with a majority. Antonina Schevchenko set professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won this fight via TKO in round 2. Her two subsequent matches were held in WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko was absent from MMA in order to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a unanimous win. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina demonstrated her slashing skills by knocking out Nievera with knees. Antonina took a UFC offer after her victory. Antonina was given an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. However, she then lost her subsequent fight due to the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat by beating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the prize of fight-of-the-night. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She won over Ariane Lipski, but beat Ariane. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
